Davis Ice Cream Georgia, LLC is a family-owned wholesale ice cream distributor proudly serving customers throughout the Southeast. We are seeking a dependable, motivated Lead Driver / Utility Worker who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to step in wherever needed to help the team succeed.

This is a hands-on position that combines route coverage, merchandising, delivery driving, warehouse support, and operational assistance. No two days are exactly the same, making it an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys staying active and taking on new challenges.

Position Summary

As a Lead Driver / Utility Worker, you will support daily operations by covering delivery routes, merchandising products, assisting in the warehouse, maintaining company equipment, and helping ensure our customers receive outstanding service. This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Essential Responsibilities

• Cover open delivery routes as needed by delivering and merchandising frozen products.
• Provide outstanding customer service while building positive relationships with customers.
• Ensure proper product rotation, merchandising, inventory accuracy, and attractive freezer presentation.
• Assist with freezer installations, equipment swaps, and maintaining company freezer standards.
• Safely operate company vehicles while following all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Load, unload, and transport frozen products while maintaining product quality.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, organizing, and rotating warehouse inventory.
• Maintain cleanliness of company vehicles, warehouse facilities, equipment, and work areas.
• Assist with special projects and support other departments as business needs require.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
• Strong work ethic with excellent attendance and dependability.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to repeatedly lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds throughout the workday.
• Comfortable working in warehouse, freezer, and outdoor environments.
• Flexible and willing to perform a variety of operational tasks.
